Bowl Sleeve Boxes
A wrap-around sleeve sized for bowls and cups, adding brand real estate to takeaway servings.
Structural & Engineering Details
How This Structure Works
A bowl sleeve wraps around a bowl or cup as a printed band rather than fully enclosing it, adding brand surface and a comfortable grip to takeaway servings. The open-ended geometry slides over the container and holds by friction or a light lock, leaving the top and bottom clear for lidding and stacking. Because it is a partial wrap, it uses less material than a full carton while still carrying artwork, ingredients, or promotions where a customer sees them. The sleeve can be sized to different containers, making it a flexible way to unify presentation across a menu without new tooling for every item.
Good Fit For
- Takeaway bowls, cups, and containers
- Menu branding across serving sizes
- Promotional or seasonal drink and meal wraps
Key Advantages
- Adds branded surface with minimal material
- Slides on and grips without full enclosure
- Can be sized to fit varied containers
Assembly & Construction
The blank folds into a band or open sleeve that is glued or locked at a single seam, forming a ring the container slides through. Because the top and bottom stay open, there are no closure flaps to fold at service. Staff simply slip the sleeve over the filled container, so it adds a branded step to service without slowing it, and the friction fit or tab keeps the wrap seated during handoff.
Materials & Board Options
A printable paperboard often suits sleeves where surface graphics and a comfortable feel matter, and a light corrugated grade can add cushioning for warm containers. The right caliper, any flute, and coating typically depend on the container size, its weight when full, the print, how sleeves are applied, and handling in service, so those details are usually settled against a real container and sample.
Pre-Production Planning Checklist
- Confirm the sleeve grips your container size without slipping
- Check the seam allowance suits your gluing or locking method
- Verify print alignment around the wrap and at the seam
